ROY ROEDGER, FOUNDER AND CEO
As CEO and President of SDI Marketing, Roy leads the company's corporate strategy with a client-centric approach. He drives development for all agency accounts with his sharp focus on creativity and cutting-edge innovation, and is responsible for the growth and prosperity of the corporation. Roy is a well-regarded entrepreneur who has successfully founded and operated SDI since completing his career as a two-time hockey Olympian. After his hockey career, Roy pursued a degree in sports and event marketing and established SDI Marketing, acquiring Gatorade as the fledgling agency's first client – an account that has remained with SDI for over 21 years. From those humble beginnings, Roy's entrepreneurial spirit and dedicated team of account personnel developed SDI into Canada's premier sport and event marketing agency.
Today SDI Marketing manages every professional and elite sports property in North America on behalf of Canada's most dynamic marketers. In 1999 Roy was nominated for a Premier's Award for outstanding career achievements and for contributions to his community and province. In 2010 he was inducted in the George Brown College Alumni Wall of Fame in recognition of his professional accomplishments, contribution to the community and leadership roles. Roy is a member of the German Hockey Hall of Fame, the Saugeen Shores Hall of Fame and was a delegate to the German Olympic Council for Children. Roy is also a member in good standing with the Sports Marketing Council of Canada.
ANDY HARKNESS, SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT
As Senior Vice President of SDI Marketing and an industry expert in the world of sports marketing, Andy has successfully negotiated sponsorship agreements with every major professional sports organization in North America. Andy leverages his vast network of insiders and drives the strategic direction of SDI Marketing and its clients with innovative sports marketing relationships. Andy recently negotiated PepsiCo North America as a major NHL sponsor and added Sidney Crosby to his clients' list of sponsored athletes, positioning SDI Marketing as 'The Hockey Experts' in Canada.
Andy is a recipient of the Award of Distinction from the Sports Marketing Council of Canada and a graduate of Wilfred Laurier with a B.A. in psychology. Andy also holds an Honours Diploma in Sports Administration from Durham College and a Diploma in Sports and Event Marketing from George Brown College.
GEOFF CONANT, VICE PRESIDENT
As Vice President, Geoff is responsible for building the company's client base and the strategic deployment of the SDI Marketing sales team. He is an integral member of the executive leadership team. Geoff and his account team have revolutionized how to approach the market and have developed metrics and measures that allow for 'fingertip' control in real time over national programs that employ hundreds of program reps.
Under Geoff's guidance and innovation and utilizing the scope and depth of his industry network, SDI Marketing has long-term contracts with some of the largest credit and debit card marketers in Canada. This success has resulted in SDI Marketing managing some of the country's largest face-to-face marketing programs, with the most highly skilled pool of third party contractors in the industry.
Geoff's philosophy and approach to teamwork stems from a well balanced set of life experiences, which include having managed a financial and insurance consulting business, and playing varsity volleyball at the University of Guelph, where he earned a B.A. in business.
KIM HARLAND, VICE PRESIDENT
Kim is a highly experienced marketer with a demonstrated track record of leading diverse teams in the achievement of mission-critical corporate objectives. She has strong technical and business credentials with more than 16 years of hands-on experience in experiential marketing, strategic planning, business development, and project and people management. Kim's proven ability to grow sales and develop business units (including taking a business unit from $0 to $20M in annual sales) demonstrates her dedication and passion for innovative marketing initiatives and overall growth for SDI.
Kim received her Bachelor of Commerce from Dalhousie University.
OLIVER GLEESON, VICE PRESIDENT/CORPORATE COUNSEL
As Vice President and Corporate Counsel of SDI, Oliver's unique and specialized skill set of marketing and law has helped transform SDI into a boutique agency covering the entire range of the marketing spectrum. Through a passionate blend of creativity, diligence, detail and exceptional client service, Oliver has cemented SDI's reputation as one of the most versatile and responsive marketing agencies in Canada. Oliver's client and project portfolio is an incredibly diverse mix of brains-and-brawn consulting and execution, specializing in the following: large scale iconic live events; sports marketing; sponsorship and negotiation; social media and viral marketing; in-store marketing; special events; public relations; and advertising and marketing law consultation.
Oliver is a political science and history graduate from Acadia University and an alumnus of the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Law.
